October 1st - Fist and Cap

This amazing cumulonimbus cloud looked like a giant fist coming toward me...

...and the pileus "cap clouds" make it even more interesting.

September 5th - Gothic beyond belief!

These skyscapes are almost beyond belief! The color of the sky over the course of this sunset went from a silvery grey to almost copper to pink, and included so many different cloud formations.

The halo effect over this cumulus cloud looks like a china man's hat!

These two cloud formations are almost an inverse of each other - a bump with a swirl surrounding it, and a hole with a swirl above it.

This mammatus cloud formation, a beautiful dusky pink, is almost dispursed. If you look closely you can see the characteristic bumps of this formation on the lower surfce. The white glow under the formation gives a very surrealistic effect.

August 15th - Cap Clouds!

I have already wondered each day how I will be able to take pictures that will be new and interesting. I mean how many kinds of skyscapes can there be? I guess the answer is an infinite number. I have been waiting for "cap clouds" to show up in my backyard, and it didn't take very long. And right next to them was this amazing cloud that looked like an upside down wave rolling into shore.
