July 28th - Lucky Strike

Just happened to snap this photo at the right moment - it usually takes several hundred shots to get a strike like this!

July 23rd - Here she comes!

Tropical Storm Bonnie made for a pleasant breezy morning, but you could see her approaching on the horizon...

June 29th - Boomerang Sky

Do you think these clouds could have traveled all the way from Australia?

June 25th - Soft Sky

All I could think about was how soft this sky looked - like an angora baby blanket in classic pink and blue...

May 19th - Heavenly Light Show

Clouds hung thick and low with severe storm warnings all around us - lightning and thunder galore! The funny thing is we never got a drop of rain...

January 2nd - Vibrant Vertigo

Another beautiful cirrus sunset  - the cumulus layer in the foreground was moving in the opposite direction creating a sense of vibrant vertigo.

Joy Flung Sky

Cirrus clouds seem to be flung with joy from this pastel sunset.

Floating Pink Pelican on a Beautiful Blue Sea

My friends know that I'm crazy about birds - in fact I see them even when they're not really there! This is a true example of my tendency for aviary hallucinations.

Cumulus Cloud Sneaker Races

This weather is quite unusual for November in Florida - there was quite a bit of lightning mixed in with these clouds.

The clouds in the foreground look like a whole bunch of sneakers running in a race...

November 15th - Wispy Ribcage Ghost

All I could see was a wispy ghost of a ribcage - it reminded me of the bones we had to draw in art class.

November 11th - Double, double, toil and trouble...

The remnants of Ida were still evident in this afternoon's sky! It was stormy and threatening, and the way the sunlight skimmed across the top of this cloud made it look like a caldron of bubbling light.

October 14th -Cumulus Puffs on Cirrus Grass

These 2 little cumulus puffs looked like they were running and playing on this patch of cirrus grass.

September 9th - Meteors, Jellyfish and Dragons

Today is wispy day! These high cirrus clouds were just fun - so light and carefree...

A meteor spinning through space or maybe a jellyfish?

A dragon with wings spread flying through the sky...

I don't know what this looks like - I just really liked it. Any ideas?

September 4th - Diamonds and Waves

The Sky seemed so big today as the clouds criss-crossed to form a diamond frame for this puff of cumulus cloud. There is an airplane in the photo that I almost wanted to remove, but I decided to leave it in as a size reference.

These clouds looked so much like breakers at the beach - amazing!

These cirrus clouds almost seemed to be spilling out of the sun

August 20th Lions, Skulls, Muppets and Magic

Yelling, skulls, magic, lions, yikes! I guess my own state of mind has a lot to do with interpreting these beautiful images today...I wonder what I was dreaming about last night!

Cirrus clouds form a wispy backdrop for these little puffs of cumulus clouds. The lens flare adds a magic wand effect to complete the picture.

Cirrus clouds form a wispy skull shaped background for these little puffs of cumulus clouds.

I clearly see a roaring lion in this cumulus cloud!

A streak of cirrus cloud seems to move through and around these rabbit ear shapes, while a muppet-type figure yells at them from below...

August 17th Gothic vs Airplane

There was quite a contrast between the sky directly overhead with wispy cirrus clouds behind a stray airplane and the totally Gothic drama brewing on the horizon...

August 16th Tropical Storm Outer Bands

There is a tropical storm brewing in the gulf coast (Claudette) which has put us in the outermost bands of clouds. This always creates unusual skies.
