October 31st - Ghost Riders in the Sky

The spooky fingers of clouds across the top of this sky seemed appropriate for Halloween!

October 30th - Whale Tail, Wind or Water?

These storm clouds reflected the mood of the day - gray. They evoked the feeling of being pulled forward or moving forward somehow like following a whale in the ocean or a bird in the sky. I also saw the opposite - water rushing out of a tunnel or a big mouth blowing out the wind...

October 29th - Cumulus Cottonball Cloudscape

These beautiful, mid-level cumulus clouds are like a giant pile of cotton balls. They look wonderful against a sky that is an incredible shade of blue.

October 28th - Window in the sky

The way these accessory clouds spiral up to the cumulus clouds above creates a window it would be fun to fly through!

October 27th -Black and White Sky Biscuit

The flat bottoms on these cumulus storm clouds remind me of the wonderful shortcake biscuits Chris makes when strawberries are in season.

October 26th - Braided Brush Fire Cumulonimbus Cloud

This cumulonimbus cloud looks like it's braided as it grows out of the ground. It has the look of rising smoke from a brush fire.

October 25th - Sunset in Herndon
