April 29th - Spotlight on Drill-Bit
The flare from the sun seemed to shine on this cirrus spiral, and set me to wondering if there might be a super hero named "Drill-Bit"...

April 20th - Celestial Slinky
I was reminded of being fascinated by that springing action as the slinky made its way down the stairs unassisted...

April 10th - Sun or Moon?
Cirrostratus clouds create a sheer blanket over the sun - it's hard for the camera to tell if it's night or day! Maybe we can get a moontan...

April 4th - Discovery Shuttle Launch
Okay - so this wasn't in my backyard - but you could see it from my backyard! I was lucky enough to be invited by my BFF to see the Discovery Shuttle Launch up close and personal! This is the gaseous vapor that remained after the Shuttle was out of sight. I took this photo right at dawn, but since we had been up all night on this adventure I'm using it for this post.
