Today the sky ran the gamut - beautiful clear blue to high rolling thunderheads to black low hanging clouds, and everything in between. It was hard to pick just 3 images!
This rainbow appeared from cloud to cloud - no rain attached! it was beautiful, and quite unusual.
The sky seemed to go up forever as this towering thunderhead grew past the low hanging clouds into a sky that was bright blue.
there was a giant hole in the sky with another entire sky behind it - like parallel universes...
I'm not sure how I missed this post yesterday, but that is exactly how I always want my rainbows to look! Like carebears are going to drive out onto them on cloud cars.
Here in Central Florida we often hear "how can you stand it - it's so FLAT". People are unhappy because they say "you can't see anything" or "there's nothing to look at". Granted the flatness takes some getting used to if you come from somewhere that has hills or mountains. I felt the same way when I moved here from upstate New York several years ago.
I finally decided to post a 365 photo blog to draw attention to the AMAZING Central Florida views. These are views that never get boring because they change day to day - even minute to minute. To make this point, all the photos here will be from within 100 yards of my house (I may cheat if something amazing catches my eye elsewhere, but I'll try to keep it really close).
You may have figured out from the title of this blog that I've been talking about the sky. Nowhere have I ever seen such a variety of dramatic clouds, storms and light shows. I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I enjoy taking them.
